We Believe

that the incredible benefits of Meridian Technologies should be accessible to everyone.

Through intentional ritual spaces of Daoist Meridian Therapeutics, Qigong, Sound and Voice Alchemy, Ceremonial Arts and Energy Work, we cultivate collective fields of learning and healing to support transformation and wellness for people and communities.

The practices of Shentara work synergistically to strengthen, cleanse and balance the meridian system. These rituals of movement, myofascial work and meditation act as a bridge between the physical and energy bodies, allowing us to release tension, activate healing and build vitality.

Devoted to making these practices accessible and available to all who seek them, we create sacred spaces for people to move through blockages, restore balance and align with the innate healing intelligence of body, mind and soul.

Our Approach

Shentara is Spirit-Centered Technology of Dao Dharma Medicine.

The practices of Shentara work synergistically to strengthen, cleanse and balance the meridian system. These rituals of movement, myofascial work and meditation act as a bridge between the physical and energy bodies, allowing us to release tension, build vitality and activate healing.

The state of our meridian system directly reflects and affects the health and wellbeing of our body and mind.

In Daoist understanding, the meridians are expressions of a Living Spiritual Intelligence that are pathways of communication between organs, tissues, emotions and Spirit. The meridian system is not merely a symbolic map, but a living, liquid crystalline communication network woven through fascia, fluids, breath, Qi and Consciousness.

The applied principles and practices of Meridian Technologies help clear stuck energy and emotions from the cells, organs and bio-electromagnetic fields of our body, so we can align with the health, wellness and vitality which is our True Nature. Our ceremonial journeys harness the power of sound to resonate in the physical and energetic fields of the body, helping us relax deeper into states of consciousness where healing happens.

Shentara is a modern manifestation of ancient healing ways, treating Body, Mind, and Spirit as One.

Daoist Meridian Therapeutics (DMT) is a ceremonial healing art rooted in the ancient spiritual traditions of Daoist, Buddhist and Shamanic Medicine. Ceremonies may include healing touch, energy medicine, myofascial work, moxibustion, meditation and vibrational healing.

Qigong is meditative medicine in motion, uniting Body, Breath and Spirit into a relaxed and focused flow state.

Through gentle, centered movements, clear intention and profound stillness, we access the myofascial meridian matrix and energetic systems to clear blockages and activate the innate healing abilities of the body.

These are Technologies of Qi, working with the physical, energetic, psychoemotional and spiritual aspects of our being as a unified whole.
People often describe these experiences as a cleansing and renewal of
the soul, and a return to peace, clarity, and connection.

Sound & Voice Alchemy

Sound is the primordial Source of all manifestation, and frequencies are the foundation of everything in the known Universe. Every sound we create is a bridge between the inner and outer worlds, self and others, matter and spirit.

the healing power of sound

Through our ceremonial offerings and vocal activation rituals we focus on opening, exploring and harmonizing the creative power and infinite potential of our voices. Producing an incredibly diverse range of frequencies, the human voice carries the energy of our intentions from the Heart into the world. Every tone we create and word we speak carries the ability to inspire, heal, and transform the people and places around us.

The practices of Shentara call upon the power of the human voice as well as a vast array of healing instruments like singing bowls, chimes, bells, flutes, rattles and drums to realign disrupted frequencies in the body, move stagnant energy, and create profound shifts in consciousness.

Shentara draws upon the living lineage of sound healing which has existed since time immemorial. The practice of sacred song and chant has carried across cultures, continents and centuries in the form of mantras, sutras, incantations, icaros, prayers and magic songs.

Our ceremonies use the power of these personalized prayers to resonate in the crystalline connective tissues and structures of the body, to invoke the healing presence and potency of spiritual allies, and to help us relax deeper into states of consciousness where healing happens. Many people report experiencing these special spirit songs as a clearing and cleansing of the soul.

Why Ceremony?

The Universe is an infinite field of living energy, Consciousness condensed into Creation. Ceremony, ritual space and meditation are spiritual technologies for focusing energy, awareness and intention.

Shentara invokes sacred spaces of ceremony to create conscious containers for healing, growth and transformation. Rooted in ancestral healing traditions and embodied spiritual practice, Shentara provides a bridge between Spirit and Body, ceremony and daily life, ancient wisdom and modern ways.

Through these practices we learn to orient ourselves in both physical and metaphysical space, calling in benevolent allies and energies to assist in processes of healing and transformation.

Shentara means Spirit of Tara - Healing Compassion in Action

Our ceremonies invoke the wisdom and compassion of the Divine Feminine through the powerful healing presence of Tara, Durga, and Guan Yin, drawing upon the lineages of Tibet, India and China. We honor and call in the six directions along with their associated Archangels, as well as the Sephirot of the Kabalistic Tree of Life.

Shentara is a modern manifestation of ancient ways, honoring ancestral paths and treating the Body, Mind, and Spirit as One.

What do we mean by Medicine?

Medicine is the sacred life-force energy that connects us to ourselves, nature, the cosmos, and each other. It is a deeply interconnected force of Love which bridges the physical, psycho–emotional and spiritual aspects of people and communities.

Shentara is Medicine rooted in the Body and centered in Spirit.

Medicine is the living intelligence of Life itself, the Spirit of balance, harmony, and transformation that moves through All Beings and all elements of creation.

It is the animating force that the Ancestors of every land have honored since time immemorial, expressed through song, breath, movement, meditation, prayer, presence, plant and animal allies, sacrament and countless other sacred ways by which human beings connect with Spirit, restore coherence, and awaken to our inherent wholeness.

True Medicine is not defined or practiced as a medical intervention. It is sacred relationship, a way of knowing and living in harmony with the rhythms of the Earth and the wisdom of Spirit. It is a science and art devoted to spiritual growth, self-awareness, and the cultivation of harmony in Body, Mind, and Soul. It exists within the domain of spiritual practice and the natural rights of all people to seek communion, healing, and meaning through their chosen path of Spirit.

Story of Shentara

Upon a Path of learning, initiation and devotion to Daoist Medicine, Buddhist Practice, Qigong, Meditation, Music, Mystery School, Yoga, Lucid Dreaming, the Spirits of Nature, and the council and guidance of many Teachers and Masters, Shentara revealed itself as a living lineage of ceremonial wellness.

The name Shentara was first given in an inner vision during meditation within a pyramid temple at Las Pyramides Del Ka in Lake Atitlan, Guatemala in 2011. A mysterious cloaked figure appeared from the swirling mists and said,

“Shentara is the name of your practice. You will know what it is when it arrives.”

Sean T Fox’s following years of travel, vision, education and ceremony revealed its meaning. The name Shentara unites two sacred words:

Shén - “Spirit” in Chinese, representing Consciousness and vitality.

तारा Tārā - Female Buddha of Compassion, the Swift Savioress.

Together, they symbolize the Spirit of Healing Compassion in Action.

Through lucid dreams, meditations and profound visionary states, teachings emerged from ancient masters and powerful Spirits of Nature, bringing important gems of wisdom. These teachings and transmissions, woven through lifetimes, have emerged as the living tapestry of Medicine that is Shentara.

A wide variety of amazing, living teachers filled in important pieces of practical education. The many spectacular teachers at both Pacific Rim College and Oshio College in Victoria, BC helped bestow the basics of Daoist Medicine through a TCM lens. Additional study with Dr. Jason Robertson of Dr. Wang Ju Yi’s lineage of Applied Channel Theory filled in a hands-on approach to the meridian system.

We are incredibly grateful to the variety of Qigong lineages that helped bridge this wisdom into the cells, energies and structures of the body. The White Tiger Qigong, Shaolin Buddhist, Dong Han Eastern Scholars and Lotus Neigong schools and Masters have provided much of the foundation for the forms practiced and taught in Shentara Wellness.

Special Thanks to Master Tevia Feng of White Tiger Qigong for imparting the depth and embodied wisdom of ancient Qigong forms with a modern, scientific approach. The full practice of Shentara was first revealed while studying the shamanic animal forms of Huà Tuó (華佗)  with Master Feng at the Tao Garden Qigong Center in Northern Thailand.
